How doesWUFC differ from Weymouth Travel Soccer? 

 

WUFC(Weymouth United Football Club) plays in the MAPLE league which is a higher level of competition.  It’s our way of bringing CLUB level soccer to our town program  There is a higher level of commitment expected than playing Travel soccer.  We do have certain attendance requirements that are important tobe met in order to have a successful Club.  The players receive a higher level of training in a more intense environment.  Not so intense that we lose focus of having fun, but a greater level of focus is asked for from theplayers.

 

Can players do both Club and Travel Soccer?

 Up until the age of 15 players can play both Club (WUFC) and Travel soccer.  They do not have to, but they certainly can and we do recommend it.  The viability of doing this is different for each age group.  Keep in mind this only really affects the Spring season (7 Club games) for MAPLE and not theFall season (9 Club games).  Please see each age group for its own breakdown.
